Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy works at the dermal level of your skin to boost blood flow, increase Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), and boost collagen and fibroblasts. A study in the Journal of Seminars in Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery notes, mitochondria in the skin can absorb these light particles. This can help the cells produce more ATP. With more energy, cells function more efficiently and can repair and rejuvenate themselves. ATP then boosts collagen and fibroblasts to help reduce pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and increase elasticity in the skin.
Blue Light Therapy
Blue light therapy has been proven to penetrate the skin’s hair follicles and pores which harbor bacteria and debris, causing inflammation and acne. Blue light stimulates the production of oxygen and free radicals that destroy P. acnes, the bacteria responsible for causing acne. Studies show that it reduces the overproduction of sebum (oil), minimizing your pores and can inhibit the cells that cause inflammation.
Amber Light Therapy
Amber light therapy helps to flush waste from the skin, boost lymphatic flow and increase cellular growth. Amber light works to help inhibit melanocytes (melanin-forming cells) form overproduction and break down the melanin that is already there.
